The Thuringian Stork Pigeon – or also known by the names: Cigogne de Thuringe, Thüringer Storchtaube, Colombo Cicogna di Turingia, Тюрингский Аист – are varieties originating from the Thuringia region (Germany), but no information has been found since when it was developed (estimated between the 1800s and 1900s). The varieties categorized into this type of Colour pigeons, are also quite popular, especially in the countries of Europe. This variety has good flying ability, but the development has been done more to improve the quality of appearance.
