Berne Gugger pigeons – also known by the names: Coucou Berneis, Berner Gugger, Cuculo Bernese, Бернский сине или белохвостый – are Swiss ornamental pigeon varieties, which have been known since the 1500s, and are classified into types color. The meaning of the word “droger” itself is “cuckoo bird” or “cuckoo”. This pigeon is known as a good aviator.
Available only in Blue with a white or colored tail and Black Checkered wing shields. It is best described as the ‘modified’ Blue Grizzle, which gives the impression of the European migratory cuckoo species.
