Karakand Fantail – also known by names: Syrian Fantail, Karakan, Gümüşkuyruk – are varieties originating from Syria, but have not been informed since when they began to be developed, only declared to have been reared since centuries ago (probably century -17 or earlier). These pigeons even use the name “fantail” but by some breeders are believed to not carry the true blood of the fantasy descendants – and are therefore not classified into the “structure” type. Varieties belonging to this utility type syrian pigeons, are known to have excellent flying skills, but now seem to be more devoted to the development of display quality.
