Ghent Owl – also known by the names: Cravaté Gantois, Genter Mövchen, Гентская сова – are varieties derived from Smerles and Flanders (Belgium), which are known to have developed since the 1960s. The variety belonging to this Owl type, is one of Europe’s major mövchen races, and has spread widely to many countries. Despite having a good flying ability, but its development is only intended for the benefit of appearance.
