Вольский высоколетный

Volsky high flying tumbler ; It is a very old Russian breed. This breed was bred in the city of Volsk in the Saratov region. They are also called “chumak” (Ukrainian name).

Volsky pigeons are considered to be a very young breed compared to many other birds. According to many sources, it appeared only in the middle of the 19th century in Volsk. There is no specific information on this subject. Experts only know that Dubovskie, Kamyshinsky and Grivchik breeds were used during their selection. At the end of the 19th century, the breed acquired its distinctive color and flight abilities, which made it extremely popular. However, despite all these points, they did not spread widely. To a large extent, their breeding was recorded in the cities of Volsk, Balakov and the closest settlements in most cases. In the process of forming the breed in a relatively short time, they managed to develop extraordinary flight characteristics.

Volsky can stay in the high-flying sky for 10-12 hours. The flight characteristics of all types of tourmen may differ, but it is normal for all of them to stay in the air for a long time, and even to roll and topple over. However, not every bird can make this element.
