Borina
Borino ornamental pigeon – also known by the name: Борино – is a varietal originating from Majorca or some of it comes from Felanitx (both in Spain) and has long been cultivated in its home regions but only recently received recognition of varieties according to European standards ( ESKT) in 1994. It is believed that this variety is the result of the crossing of the Escampadissa race with Pinta, but it is also reported that this variety has undergone the development of its own character different from that of its ancestral race. In the early 2000s, it was found that varieties belonging to this type of Tumbler had declined in population numbers, and were close to critical conditions, so it was feared to be extinct.
