The Polish Krymka – also known by the names: Culbutant Krymka, Polnische Kalotte, Calotta Polacca, Польская крымка – is a varietal originating from the Krymka region (Ukraine), although there is evidence that the original was actually a Polish pigeon, The Middle East, but has not found information since when it was developed, is only estimated in the 19th century or slightly earlier – the EE designates it as a Polish race. Varieties belonging to this type of Tumbler pigeons have been widely farmed in various regions, also almost found throughout Poland – the name “krymka” is the name of the hat used in Polshe.
