 Janja Roller – also name – Rouleur de Janja – is a variety originating from Turkey, around the eastern region of Bosnia, mainly in the city of Janja, which was developed in the late 18th century, and is believed to be a cross between Komorner and Vrschatschka , and finally with the Nisch. The varieties belonging to the Tumbler – roller type  are primarily developed because of their good flying ability, although they also have an attractive appearance. Some breeders refer to it as “potential varieties that are forgotten”.

The pigeon is of medium length, proud, intense color, beautiful looking, very docile and lively. The head is of medium length, with a narrower forehead, slightly bent towards the beak, without corners, with a straight top, a hood cap, slightly higher than the crown without a rosette. Beak of medium length, slightly wider at the root, thick flush with the head. The wings are muscular and harmoniously located, tightly fitted to the body, carried on the tail, their ends do not touch. Feathers are short and tight, close to the pigeon’s body. Lamb wing can be found in the following variants: heart-shaped, colored, white, black, red, yellow and blue.
