The Volga Tumbler – also known by names: Culbutant de la Volga, Wolgaer Positurtümmler, Capitombolante del Volga, Волжский Турман (Волжский Ленточный Статный Турман) – is a varietal originating from the Volga region (Russia), which has been informed has begun to develop since the beginning of the 20th century. The varieties are grouped into this russian tumbler pigeons type, expressed as the result of crossing of the Rzhev, Kazan, and Rostov races. This variety has been quite widely developed in the Volga and surrounding areas, has also spread to several countries in Europe. This variety has the ability to fly, but the aspect of appearance is more of a concern to the fancier.
