The Lucerne Elmer Pigeons– also known by names: Lucernois à Col Cuivré, Luzerner Kupferkragen, Lucernese a Collo Ramato, Люцернский медношейный – are varieties derived from Lucerne (Switzerland), which began to be bred since the 19th century, and also expressed as the result of cross-breeding between the Swiss race and the Owl race. Varieties belonging to this type of Colour pigeons, also declared as great aviators, and therefore quite popular in their home country.
