The South German Tigerhead ornamental doves – also known by the names: Tête Criblée de L’Allemagne du Sud, Testa Marezzata della Germania del Sud, Южно-Немецкий Тигроголовый – are varieties from southern Germany, mainly bred in the Ulm region, so locally known as Ulmer Mohr, which was informed that it had begun to be developed since the 1700s. This variety, which is included in the colour pigeons type, is quite popular, but is informed that it is still not too widespread to be bred in other countries in Europe. Having the ability to fly is very good, but it seems the appearance is more of a concern in its development so far.
