The Lucerne Copper Collar – also known by names: Lucernois à Col Cuivré, Luzerner Kupferkragen, Lucernese a Collo Ramato, Люцернский медношейный – are varieties derived from Lucerne (Switzerland), which are known to have been developed since the 19th century, as a result of cross-breeding of the Swiss race and Owl race. Varieties belonging to this type of swiss colour pigeons ( farbentauben) are very popular in their home region, and are also widely cultivated in some countries. This variety is informed to have great flying ability, but seen from the side of the appearance is also quite interesting.
