The Crested Picard pigeons – also known by names: Huppé Picard, Picard Haube, Cuffia della Picardia, Хохлатый пикард – are varieties of Somme (Picardy), Francis. Varieties belonging to this type of Utility form pigeons, have been developed for a long time, among others it is known that in 1700 many were kept in monasteries, and when it was very unpopular. In 1922, this variety was commonly known as Mondain Picard, or Modena Picardy, and disappeared for almost 60 years. Later these varieties reappeared, and were recognized in standard standards in 1987. These pigeons have good flying skills.
