The Thurgau Monk pigeons– also known by the names: Moine Thurgovien, Thurgauer Mönch, Turgoviese Monacato, Тургаусский Монах – are varieties originating from Switzerland, especially from the Thurgau region, which was informed to have been developed in the early 20th century. Varieties classified into this type of colour pigeons are also very popular, and quite widely cultured in various countries in Europe.
