German Forktail Trumpeter – also known by the names: Tambour Allemand à Queue Fourche, Deutsche Gabelschwanz Trommeltaube, Tamburo Tedesco a Coda Forcuta, Вилохвостый немецкий барабанщик – are varieties originating from Germany, mainly from Saxony and Thuringia, which is a race old that has been developed since the 17th century. Varieties belonging to this type of german trumpeter pigeons are the result of cross-breeding with several trumpeter races. At first these varieties had good flying skills, but now only developed for the show.
