Polish tippler pigeons were brought from Germany to the Dąbrowski Basin at the beginning of the 20th century. The breeders of Zagłębie by introducing local volatile breeds into the cross obtained a variety of highly flyer, persistent and long-flying pigeons. They are very popular and bred in Sosnowiec, Będzin, Dąbrowa Górnicza and many Polish towns.
