The Thuringian Crescent pigeons – also known by the names: Pigeon Lune de Thuringe, Thüringer Mondtaube, Colombo Lunato in Turingia, Тюрингский Лунный Голубь – are varieties originating from Germany, especially from the Thuringia region, but no information has been found since when it was developed (possibly in the 18th or 19th century). The varieties categorized into this type of Color pigeons, have been popular and have been widely developed in several countries in Europe. This variety is informed of having the ability to fly, but in accordance with the type group, more aimed for appearance.
