Piestanau Pigeon – also known by the names: Géant Piestanois, Piestanauer Riesentaube, Peshtyanskie Giants, Пьештянский Гигант – are varieties originating from the western region of Slovakia, informed that began to be developed since 1970-1980, and declared as a result of crossing from many races, including King, Texan, Giant Hungarian, Moravian Strasser, Giant Homer, as well as various other races. The actual development substance for creating broiler pigeons, especially on weight gain and productivity.
The variety belonging to this type of Utility pigeons, developed thanks to the services and hard work of leading breeder Andrew Boda, and this variety is recognized in the permanent standard in 1987.
Besides having good flying ability, this variety also looks elegant.
