The Dragoon pigeons– also known by the names: Dragon, Dragone, Драгун – is a varietal originating from England, first revealed in 1735 – and declared a descendant of the now extinct Horseman dove. In the early 1880s, these varieties were incorporated into Germany, and subsequently spread to other countries in Europe, America and Asia. Until the 1900s, varieties belonging to this type of wattle pigeons are still used as postal pigeons. This variety is known to have great flying ability.
