The Saxon Pouter or Saxon Coppers – also known by the names: Saxon Cropper, Boulant de Saxe Unicolore, Sächsischer Kröpfer, Gozzuto in Sassonia, Саксонский дутыш – is one of German varieties, especially developed in Saxony and Thuringia, near the town of Naumburg and Weissenfels. Some notes inform bawha this variety is the result of crossing of several pouter races, which began in the 1830s. The varieties categorized into this type of Cropper Pigeons, including very popular among breeders and fanciers, are widespread in some countries in Europe or outside. Although these varieties are otherwise able to fly well, but the practical development is to meet the needs of the show.
