The Moravian Bagdad pigeons– also known by names: Bagadais de Moravie, Mährische Bagdette, Bagadese della Moravia, Моравский багдет – are varieties originating from Moravia and Brno (Czech, Czechoslovakia), have been developed for a long time (locally known as The name Turek, but it was only recognized as a separate varieties in 1967. Widely developed at Fort Hodonin, and also in Hungary. Some information indicates that this variety represents an ancient race originally from Turkey, but then this variety disappeared in Czechoslovakia at the end of the 18th century. Varieties belonging to this type Wattle pigeons, expressed as varieties that are able to fly well, but now better known as pigeon displays.
